The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) approved a 100 million euros extension of a financing agreement. The money is intended for the construction and repair of over 85 km of road in Moldova. This was announced by Andrei Spînu, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
The R14 road sector, Soroca to Arionesti, a total of 31 km, will be repaired and modernized. Also, the road sector R8.1, Arionești to Otaci, total 9.4 km, will be rehabilitated and modernized. Rehabilitation works and related surveillance services will be carried out on the national route R33 Hîncești-Lăpușna-M1, a total of 37.2 km. The Vulcănești bypass sector will be built, a total of 8.58 km.
The amounts allocated for each individual road will be included in the amendment to the financing agreement.
