More than 8,000 children throughout the whole country will be gifted backpacks with school supplies before September 1. The donation comes from the Charity Foundation “Din Suflet”, created by First Lady Galina Dodon. Rita Manole, a member of the Foundation’s Council, told a press conference on Tuesday, August 15, that the beneficiaries will be families who have at least three children attending school, IPN reports.
According to Rita Manole, another upcoming project of the Foundation is sending 40 children from socially vulnerable families to the “Zambetul” summer camp in Vadul lui Voda in the second half of August. In addition to this, ten kids with impaired hearing will receive cochlear implants and enjoy the world of sounds for the first time.
Rita Manole also talked about the Foundation’s charity actions in the last six months. It offered help to over 160 people in need, persons with disabilities, gifted children from socially vulnerable families, financial aid for surgeries, etc. Kids diagnosed with various illnesses received support for their treatment and rehabilitation. Several houses have been bought for families with numerous children than lived in miserable conditions.
The Charity Foundation “Din Suflet” was created in February. It works towards helping socially vulnerable families with lots of children, socially vulnerable individuals and towards training and encouraging children and youth to assert themselves in the cultural, educational and social fields.
