More than 80 cultural activities will be carried out in Tiraspol during the winter vacation, Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in Transnistria reports. The Transnistrian Education Ministry will be responsible for the organization of the activities. Special attention will be paid to the festivities intended for orphans and children placed under tutelage. The event “Christmas – Together” for children with disabilities will take place between January 6 and 8. Fairy tales will be screened for the small spectators in the cinema “Tiraspol”. The region's State Circus prepared a special holiday program. Recreational activities themed “Happy New Year, Capital!” will be held near the New Year Tree on “Suvorov” square, near the fir tree on “Octombrie” square and in “Zapadnyi” quarter from 8.00 PM on December 31 until 4.00 AM on January 1. Performances for children titled “Surprises from Santa Claus” will be staged in the local Palace of Culture between December 25 and January 6. The Tiraspol-based People's Traditions House will host matinees from December 25 until January 5. Dmitri Daradur, the head of the Tiraspol Department of Culture, assured the residents that security during the holiday events will be at the highest level.
