Over 77,000 ballots ready for Romanians from Moldova
Romania prepared more than 77,000 ballot papers for its citizens residing in Moldova, who will take part in the December 9 elections. The voters will be given by two ballots. Half of the over 77,000 ballots are for the elections for the Chamber of Deputies, while the other half for the Senate, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In Moldova, there will be opened 19 polling places. The ballots for the Chamber of Deputies and those for the Senate will be put into different boxes.
The candidates running in uninominal college No. 1 for the Senate, within which the Romanians from Moldova will vote, are: Cristian David (the Social-Liberal Union), Viorel Riceard Badea (the Right Romanian Alliance), Mihaela Mihai Neagu (the Romania Mare Party), Nagy Zoltan Levente (the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania), Hantz Peter Bela (the Hungarian People’s Party of Transylvania ), Ion Savoiu (the Romanian Ecologist Party), and Eugen Costinel Mihalache (the People’s Party – Dan Diaconescu).
The candidates running in college No. 2 for the Chamber of Deputies are: Victor Alexeev (the Social-Liberal Union), Eugen Tomac (the Right Romanian Alliance), Richard Kovacs (the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania), Daniel Alexandru (the Romanian Ecologist Party), Gheorghe Vita (the People’s Party – Dan Diaconescu), and Natalia Emciuc (the Romania Mare Party).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania designed an interactive map of the polling places located outside the country, developed on the Google Maps platform, so as to facilitate the access of the Romanians who are abroad to polling places. The map is available on http://www.mae.ro/alegeri-parlamentare-2012.
The Romanians from Moldova can vote at four polling places in Chisinau and 15 polling places in districts. Additional information can be obtained on 022 855 003 or through the email address alegeri2012@ambasadaromaniei.md.
Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Marius Lazurca said recently on a TV channel that there are about 250,000 Romanian citizens in Moldova.
