A number of 73 flu cases have been confirmed in the municipality of Chisinau so far this year. In the February 14 meeting of City Hall officials, the Health Division’s head Luminita Suveica said the number of adults who are suspected of being infected with flu rose from 500 to 605 during a week, while of children – from 711 to 860, Info-Prim Neo reports. Forty-one of the total number of infected persons got the A H1N1 flu virus, 18 – flu type B, while another 18 – flu type A H3N2. The epidemiological situation is under control. It is now not necessary to increase the number of beds in hospitals, Luminita Suveica said. As many as 225 cases of flu have been recorded in Moldova by February 14 – 85 in children and 140 – in grownups. Four persons, including a pregnant woman, have died.
