Repair works will be executed on Monday and the consumers are warned to turn off the taps and wait for a representative of the company to be reconnected to the gas supply, IPN reports.

The Rotalin Gaz company said at around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, during the execution of uncoordinated excavation works by a third party, near Fundul Galbenei, an intercommunal high-pressure gas pipeline D163 was damaged.

The localities that remained without natural gas are Bardar, Fundul Galbenei, Pojăreni, Ruseștii Noi, Văsieni, Ulmu, Dănceni, and Sociteni.

"The emergency situation has been remedied by our company's intervention team. A number of localities with about 6,000 consumers were affected. It should be noted that, at the moment, there is no threat to life and health. All relevant services were informed about the incident according to the Emergency Situations Location Plan," reads a press release.

"In all seriousness, we ask the inhabitants of the affected localities where the resumption of the gas supply is planned to turn off the taps on gas appliances and to wait for the arrival of a representative of the company to have the gas supply restored," warned the company.
