More than 6,000 applications to have children registered in the first grade at educational institutions in Chisinau have been filed online by April 18. The Chisinau City Hall said the enrolment of children of preschool age through the agency of the platform escoala.chisinau.md continues, IPN reports.

There are 10,316 places available in 389 classes at 140 educational institutions, including private ones.

Under the Regulations of the General Division of Education Youth and Sport, all the children who turn seven before the start of the school year from a given school district are mandatorily enrolled at school.

The registration of children in the first grade for the 2022-2023 school year takes place in two stages - between April 1 and June 13, when applications were submitted according to the domicile address, and between June 14 and August 29, when the places that remained available will be filled.
