More than 60 settlements from nine districts of the country remained without electricity on May 19 following the heavy rain and strong winds. Liliana Puscasu, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that according to the latest information 66 settlements were in the darkness at 10.00. Thirteen of the settlements are situated in Sangerei district, 12 in Telenesti, 11 in Floresti, 11 in Orhei, 8 in Soroca, and by 2-3 in other districts. Intervention teams are working to fix the power lines and reconnect the settlements to the power supply.
