Over 52,000 trees will be sold this year during the holiday season. Tree cutting in Moldsilva Agency’s nurseries and tree farms began on December 3, IPN reports.

More exactly, 52,016 units will be up for sale, including 48,289 spruces and 3,727 pines. Of them, 23,501 trees will range in height from 1 meter to 1.5 meter, and 19604 trees from 1.5 to 2 meters. Additionally there will be 6,072 branches available for purchase.

Pines will sell starting at 56 lei per meter, spruces can be purchased starting at 44 lei per meter and branches starting at 8 lei a pop. Christmas trees taller than 6 m will have an extra charge of 100 lei for each meter of spruce and 70 lei for each meter of pine in addition to the standard prices.

Christmas trees can be purchased wholesale from Moldsilva tree farms and retail from Moldsilva deposits.
