More than 5,000 persons have been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus since the launch of the immunization campaign in Moldova on March 2. The number of vaccinated persons is reported on the governmental platform vaccinare.gov.md that was launched on March 9, IPN reports.

The national vaccination campaign will have three stages. At the first stage, there are immunized the employees of health facilities. The second stage will cover adults aged 60 and over and persons with comorbidies, employees of the education system and public order, defense and state security bodies, while the third stage – the general population.
The first COVID-19 vaccines - 21,600 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines donated by Romania – were delivered to Moldova last week. The given consignment contains the first and second doses of vaccines, intended for 10,800 health workers. In several days, the state got 14,400 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines shipped through the COVAX Facility.
