More than 50 million lei was allocated to modernize public lighting in various parts of Chisinau.
Works will soon start on the streets Ismail, Tudor Vladimirescu, Petru Rareș, and Mihail Sadoveanu, while on the streets Maria Drăgan, Ceucari, Dumitru Rîscanu, Alexei Șciusev, and Alexei Mateevici renovations are already underway.
Mayor Ion Ceban says that the remote management system for street lighting is also being modernized. To date, 125 control units have been replaced, and by the end of the year another 100 are to be installed across the city.
Earlier this year, works to modernize or reconstruct lighting systems were completed on the streets 27 Martie 1918, Nicolae Costin, and Ciuflea, where metallic poles and supports were replaced, straightened or painted, cabling was replaced, and lighting fixtures were installed.
