Over 50 drivers fined during two hours in Chisinau
More than 50 Chisinau drivers were fined during two hours by traffic police officers because they traveled with the safety belt unfastened, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Traffic Police Division, the motorists were checked during an operation aimed at reducing the gravity of the consequences of road accidents. The drivers who didn’t have the seatbelt on were fined 300 to 400 lei. They also got by three penalty points.
The Ministry of the Interior’s statistics show that the seatbelt saves the person’s life in 80% of the accidents.
