More than 40 development and modernization projects are to be implemented this year as part of a program of country reunification activities. These are projects to develop the physical infrastructure of education institutions, to maintain buildings and water supply systems, to light localities in the Security Zone, to contribute to promoting the measures to build confidence between the people from both sides of the Nistru. The program was proposed for public consultations, IPN reports.

The theoretical lyceums in Tiraspol, Bender, Grigoriopol, Dubăsari, and Rybnitsa, the Boarding School in Bender, the secondary schools in Corjova and Roghi of Dubăsari district will get by a lump sum of 100,000 lei for outfitting. A bus will be bought for transporting students of the “Mihai Eminescu” Theoretical Lyceum based in Dubăsari town.

It is also planned to repair and equip administrative buildings, cultural, sport and medical-sanitary institutions. The street lighting networks in Varnița village of Anenii Noi district and in Hârbovăț village of Anenii Noi district will be extended, while the street lighting system in Ursoaia village of Căușeni district will be repaired.

According to the project, the total value of the selected projects is of at most 15 million lei. The money was earmarked in the 2020 state budget.
