More than 360 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Moldova during the last week of 2022. Also, three deaths associated with the novel coronavirus were reported last week, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Health, the incidence the past seven days was 9.8 cases per 100,000 persons, while mortality was 0.1 deaths per 100,000 persons.
Of the over 360 new cases reported during December 26 and January 1, 37 were in children, while two were in pregnant women. Fifteen cases were among health workers. Eight cases were imported. Three cases were confirmed in persons who came from Italy, while by one case was imported from Ukraine, Sweden, the UK, Kazakhstan and Germany.
Almost 597,000 cases of COVID-19 and 11,900 associated deaths have been logged in Moldova since the outbreak of the virus.
About 2.2 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country since March 2021. The national coverage with the complete scheme is 31.41%.
