More than 34,000 apartments from Chisinau still have debts for the heat supplied the previous heating season. SA Termocom insistently asks the bad payers to clear the debts in the near future. 83% of these apartments have debts of 1,000 to 5,000 lei, while almost 10,000 apartments have debts larger than 7,000 lei, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of SA Termocom, the owners of apartments with debts, who didn’t agree debt rescheduling timetables or who do not obey the payment schedules, will be sued by the housing stock managers, with the support of jurists of the public heat utility.

On December 9-14, there were prepared 169 lawsuits and pronounced 138 decisions over debts of more than 1 million lei. Another 306 suits over debts of almost 4 million lei are yet to be examined.

SA Termocom reiterates that the bills, including those with the expired deadline, can be paid at bank branches and post offices and at the company’s commercial center situated at 6 T. Vladimirescu St.
