Over 33,000 trees and bushes will be planted in the capital as part of the National Greening Day “A Tree for our Eternity”. According to the PR Division of the Chisinau City Hall, the event organized by district offices in concert with the Management Green Association under the aegis of Chisinau City Hall, will be held on March 31. 20,116 trees and 13,150 bushes will be planted. Fifteen sets of equipment intended for playgrounds and 550 benches have been recently purchased. They will be proportionally set up in the districts of the capital with the pretors’ consent. Premier Vasile Tarlev issued an ordinance requesting Ministries, heads of raions, of Chisinau and Balti municipalities, governor of Gagauzia to organize the planting of tress and bushes as part of the National Day for greening the country. According to the Government ordinance, special attention must be paid to the planting of walnut trees. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources will gather until April 23 the information regarding the results of the greening works performed this spring.
