More than 3,000 police officers will maintain public order in Moldova during the winter holidays. They will supervise recreational places, Christmas bazaars and markets and will patrol the national roads, IPN reports.
Daniel Mazepa, head of the Community Police Coordination Section of the General Police Inspectorate, recommended the parents not to leave the children unsupervised at home, on the street and in public places, especially when they are in a crowd. The children should learn to seek help from the police if they get lost and should know the contact data of the parents.
InfoTrafic Service head Pavel Apostol calls on the drivers to respect the Road Traffic Regulations and not to drive under the influence of alcohol. A great flow of cars is expected in Chisinau the coming days. The drivers are urged to make sure their vehicles are parked legally and to use public transport instead of the private one in the period.
