Over 30 new titles will be launched at Book Show Room for children and youth
At the Children and Youth Book Salon, the second edition, over 30 new titles from different publishing houses will be launched. The event unfolds in October 30 to 31, in Cahul district. Each pupil from elementary classes, who visits the exhibition, will receive a copy of the book “3 Bears, ” translated and adapted by Lica Sainciuc, Eugenia Bejan, the Deputy Rector of the Children National Library “Ion Creanga” has told Info-Prim Neo.
The event’s program provides a session of autographs and a meeting with writers Claudia Partole, Titus Stirbu, Gheorghe Marin, Marcela Mardare.
The first day, they will show off books for all ages printed by the publishing houses Prut International, Pro Noi, Arc, Litera, Epigraf, Pontos, Silvius Libris. They will also display the volume “Cartea Foametei” by Larisa Turea, issued at Curtea veche from Bucharest.
The second day they will launch Aureliu Busuioc’s book “Cand bunicul era nepot,” (When the grandfather was a grandchild) which was awarded as the year’s book at the International Book Show Room, in April 2008. Ianos Turcanu will display the book “O girafă supărată,” (Angry Giraffe) which was awarded the children's sympathy prize. Grigore Vieru will present his book “Soare, soare domn frumos”. The program includes two titles of encyclopedias : “Enciclopedia cetatii” by Mariana Slapac and “Enciclopedia Fluturii” by Tudor Cozari.
Book promotions are included in the national project “Toward culture and civilization through reading,” a reading promotion campaign.
