Over 3% of Transnistria’s population are unemployed
3.2% of the able to work population of the Transnistrian region were out of work on December 1, 2012, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the local news agency “PMRinform”.
According to a report by the self-proclaimed minister of economy of Transnistria, in Slobozia there is the largest number of jobless persons – 9%. The unemployment rate in Grigoriopol district is 7.6%, in Ribnita – 5.6%, in Camenca – 2.5%, while in Tiraspol – 1.3%. The lowest jobless rate is in Dubasari district – 0.4%. The monthly unemployment benefit is 400 rubles (459 lei).
The Transnistrian employment agencies offer 3,000 vacancies. The competition is 1.7 persons per post.
Statistics show that more than 2,000 persons have been employed in the Transnistrian region so far this year.
