The inhabitants of the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova in the course of this year were offered 262,500 COVID-19 vaccine doses that were recieved by Moldova as humanitrain aid or were boiught with state budget funds, IPN reports, quoting the Reintegration Policies Bureau.
The Transnistrian region got 18,400 AstraZeneca vaccine doses, 25,000 Sinopharm vaccine doses, 29,600 Johnson&Johnson/Janssen vaccine doses, 42,500 Pfizer/BioNTech-Comirnaty vaccine doses, 65,000 Sinovac vaccine doses and 82,000 Sputnik V doses.
About 174,900 vaccine doses were administered in the Transnistrian region since the vaccination campaign was launched on March 2 until November 9.
According to the Reintegration Policies Bureau, the persons vaccinated in the Transnistrian region have confirmation certificates generated in a centralized way that can be reconfirmed, if necessary, at public health facilities on the right bank of the Nistru. These are added to the National Register of Vaccinated Persons.
