Over 2,400 vacancies offered at National Career Expo
More than 2,400 jobs from about 100 employers from across the country have been offered on Thursday as part of the National Career Expo. The fair was organized by the Ministry of Trade and Economy in association with the Ministry of Education and Youth, Info Prim Neo reports.
For the first time the Chisinau Employment Agency made an electronic vacancy database available to the public, which is useful both to job seekers and recruiters.
Education institutions, 24 in number, took the occasion of the fair to present their offers, too.
The organizers installed electronic terminals linked to the “Moldova's Labor Market” portal and presented videos about the labor market, the educational establishments and the participating employers, displayed on huge screens around the venue.
The fair also offed the young job seekers the possibility to negotiate directly with the employers and a fast access to the nationwide vacancy database. Besides, the young participants had the opportunity to learn about the services provided on the labor market, about career development courses and about how to start a business.
Attending the event, Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanyi said the current edition of the National Career Expo has been organized according to the Action Plan of Youth Year 2008, and is part of a complex program that includes more than 50 measures.
Similar fairs were held today in Donduseni, Briceni and Ialoveni.
