The website www.voteaza.md, which is updated every time new information comes in from the polling places, shows the turnout of voters at 13.00 was 22.46%, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The voters in Basarabeasca are the most active. The turnout there was 36.75%.
The lowest turnout was in Floresti district, were the turnout was 18%.
9.74% of the voters from the municipality of Chisinau and 21.44% of the voters from Balti have cast their votes by 13.00.
The turnout in the early legislative elections of July 29, 2009 was 28.4% at 13.00. The Central Election Commission’s secretary Iurie Ciocan explained the previous polls were held on a workday, while today is Sunday and many people went to the church first.
