Over 200m lei will be invested in industrial park “Tracom”
The new resident companies of the industrial park “Tracom” pledged to invest over 200 million lei and to create 900 workplaces, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Economy. The selected investment projects will be implemented in 2-3 years.
During a visit paid to “Tracom”, Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar said that this industrial park is a pilot project whose experience will be multiplied in other districts of the country as well. “Such industrial platforms are the main instrument for attracting investments and developing the industry in Moldova,” said the minister.
He informed that an investment contest was announced on February 24 to sell the state holdings in nine joint stock companies operating on the territory of “Tracom”. He invited the current residents and other potential investors to participate in the privatization of these companies.
Four contests to select the residents of the industrial park and the investment projects had been held during October 4, 2011 – January 24, 2012. There were submitted 34 bids. Nineteen economic entities were chosen as residents.
