The MPay governmental e-payments service is gaining more and more ground. By July 2, the number of transactions processed via the MPay service since its launch exceeded 200,000, IPN reports, quoting the e-Government Center.
MPay allows making payments by means of any legal means of payment available in Moldova: bank cards; payment terminals; e-banking systems, and cash payments (one can make payments in cash at the connected banks or at “Posta Moldovei” offices).
Since the launch in September 2013, 200,086 transactions have been processed through the Mpay service. This points to a growing interest and an upward trend as regards cashless payments.
On June 18, the range of services that can be paid through the governmental electronic payments instrument was extended to cover the real estate tax as well.
