The Border Police said more than 2,000 Moldovans were sent back from the border with Russia, while over 400 citizens were deported from this country last year. Starting with April 28, 2014, when the Moldovan citizens holding biometric passports began to travel visa-free to the EU, 238 Moldovans were banned from entering the European Union because they didn’t meet the requirements, while another 108 Moldovans were not allowed to enter because they earlier violated the legislation of the EU, IPN reports.
During the first ten days of January, 29 Moldovan citizens were not allowed to enter Russia, while another five were deported. The persons who had to return from the border said the Russian border authorities didn’t provide explanations for their refusal. Most of these persons hadn’t been earlier to Russia.
Over the first ten days of 2015, seven Moldovans were banned from entering the EU, while three Moldovans were deported.
