Over 2,000 children to receive presents within Christmas Caravan campaign

More than 2,000 children will be offered presents within the charity campaign Christmas Caravan on the occasion of the winter holidays. From December 11, the bus with presents and surprises will daily go to one of the 17 settlements that will be visited this year during ten days, Info-Prim Neo reports. The campaign is organized by the Foundation “Clipa Siderala”. In a news conference, the organizers said that the campaign is designed to bring smiles to the children from needy families, who live is settlements located far from Chisinau and have poor infrastructure and poor social life. The bus will set off from the Great National Assembly Square at 9am. It will take presents to over 2,000 children from boarding schools, vocational schools, penitentiaries, rehabilitation centers, children’s homes, children from socially deprived families and from four rural schools. “The children from villages that are situated far from Chisinau are isolated, do not have access to information and are seldom visited by somebody. For all these children, the Christmas Caravan is an important event. It’s pleasant to know that somebody is thinking about you and has good wishes for you. We will take by a gift and candies to every child,” said the manager of “Clipa Siderala” Silvia Bradutanu. Those who want to become involved in the organization of the campaign can make donations and bring presents in front of the Government Building every morning. The Christmas Caravan has been organized by the Foundation “Clipa Siderala” for 16 years already.
