Although he was punished for nine times, a man went out on the street again to beg, simulating a disability. The police seized four wheelchairs that the man used to beg for money from passers-by, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said that 22 people who applied such practices have been identified so far this year. As a result, 26 contravention reports were drawn up for simulating disabilities and five for begging based on wrong information about serious illnesses or the need for expensive surgery.
The police urge the citizens who notice such cases to call the single emergency number 112 to notify the competent authorities.
"Often, under the guise of a beggar, there can be a scammer and, behind him, there can be a criminal group," warns the Inspectorate.
