In December, the National Health Insurance Company allocated more than 112 million lei to pharmacies for compensated medicines and medical devices. The amount is 21 million lei more than in the same period last year, IPN reports.
More than 183 thousand people have benefited from medicines and medical devices, with the largest sums going to treatments for circulatory diseases and endocrine and nutritional diseases.
Also, 25 thousand patients received compensated medical devices totaling 7 million lei.
The average cost of medicines per patient was 616 lei, and the most expensive treatment was for diseases of the nervous system, with an average cost of 1186 lei.
