The municipality of Chisinau will fix over 150 digital information panels at waiting stations in the capital city this year. Deputy mayor Ilie Ceban said that five such panels have been installed so far and passengers on them can see how long it will take for the trolleybus or bus they are waiting for to arrive at the station, IPN reports.
Real-time viewing of public transport units in Chisinau is also possible through the Tranzy mobile application, but not everyone has the possibility of accessing it, said the deputy mayor.
The digital panels will also present information about bypass routes when particular road sections are closed to traffic or other information useful to passengers.
In total, there are 952 public transport stations in Chisinau and 619 of them are located in urban areas, while 333 – in suburban settlements.
