Over 140 calls to 112 Service following falls on ice

More than 140 medical emergencies were recorded on the 112 Service on January 28 as a result of falls on ice. The persons suffered arm and leg fractures, head, neck or other types of injuries, IPN reports.

The data were presented by the Common National Emergency Telephone Service 112. Specialists call on the people to be prudent when going on icy or snowy roads and to wear slip resistant shoes. “When there is no way to avoid the fall, use your hands to support your and avoid more serious injuries,” the 112 Service noted in a press release.
