In one week alone, more than 14,000 patients sought help from emergency medical teams. Nearly 2,000 of the requests were for children, and over 300 proved to be unnecessary, IPN reports, referring to the report of the National Center for Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Assistance.
According to the CNAMUP, around 5,500 patients, including a thousand children, were transported to the hospital after being given first medical aid.
Ambulance interventions were requested for 3,699 cases of cardiovascular emergencies, 2,120 - for patients with respiratory diseases, 1,897 - with neurological pathologies, 49 - with toxic emergencies, and another 34 - emergencies generated by chemical agents.
Emergency medical assistance teams were also called to 50 road traffic accidents, in which 56 people, including 45 adults and 11 children, were injured.
