Over 11,000 people employed with ANOFM support

More than 11,000 people found a job in 2023 with the support of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) and its territorial subdivisions. The unemployed represent 80.7% of this number.

Of the total number of those employed, 4,006 are women, 1,577 persons aged 55-63 years, 268 persons with disabilities, 240 Moldovan citizens who returned from abroad, and 87 Roma persons. Out of the total number of those who didn’t have a job, 3,603 were women, 5,818 were people without a professional qualification, and 5,637 were from rural areas.

The job seekers were employed in services, industrial sectors, agriculture, wholesale and retail trade, public administration, education, healthcare and social assistance.

In 2023, 32,219 job vacancies were registered by the territorial subdivisions of ANOFM. ANOFM recommends that people looking for a job should visit one of the territorial subdivisions for support. The services are free of charge and are intended both for people looking for a job, with and without unemployed status, as well as for employed people who want to change their job.

To register as unemployed, the person needs to come to the nearest territorial subdivision with a valid identity card or residence permit, any education and qualification documents, the copy of the discharge order from the last job for persons who have been active in the last 24 calendar months preceding the date of registration, other confirmatory documents, as appropriate. The addresses of the subdivisions can be found on the ANOFM website.
