Over 100 Moldovan experts to negotiate new association accord with EU

The new association accord between Moldova and the European Union is to be negotiated by 110 Moldovan experts, which are functionaries in ministries. The new accord will replace the present one – of partnership and cooperation, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The new accord is to establish the legal frame of Moldova's relations with the EU. The question is about political dialogue, justice and home affairs, profound free trade and other sectors,” said Iulian Groza, the head of the European Integration Department of of the Moldovan Foreign Ministry.
According to the official, the functionaries are being trained. “The training is about the EU policies, negotiating techniques, preparation in function of sectors. We're now preparing the works at the national level,” Groza explained.
Earlier, Moldovan Foreign Minister Andrei Stratan said a detailed report had been compiled including Moldova's proposals on shaping its positions on different issues, the list of Moldovan officials involved in negotiating the new accord with the EU.
Negotiating the document is planned for this month. The experts are trained with the assistance of EU countries and of the European Commission.
