Over 100 medicines authorized for sale in Moldova

More than 100 names of drugs will be sold on the Moldova market after national and foreign producers received authorizations from the Ministry of Health. Of these, 43 are medicines that were authorized for the first time, while 61 were repeatedly authorized for sale, IPN reports.

According to the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices, 20 of the drugs authorized for the first time are made in the European Union, 17 in the Commonwealth of Independent States, while two in Moldova. Four types of drugs will be imported from Bangladesh and India.

Forty of the drugs that were authorized repeatedly are produced in the EU, seven in the CIS, while 13 in Moldova. One type of medicine will be imported from India.

The pharmaceutical products were earlier accepted by the Agency’s medicines commission for being included into the State Nomenclature of the Republic of Moldova.
