More than 100 universities from over 20 countries will propose their offers for secondary school and lyceum students and persons studying for degrees of master, doctor and post-doctor at the 12th Romanian International University Fair (RIUF). RIUF Iasi coordinator Anca Gilca has told Info-Prim Neo that Moldovan young people are also expected to come to the fair to obtain information about studies abroad and about the universities to which they want to apply. About 10,000 young people take part in the fair annually. This year, the fair will be opened on March 16 and will last for almost a week: in Bucharest – March 16-17, Timisoara – March 19, and Iasi – March 21. Presentation sessions will be held within the fair. These workshops will provide information about foreign international systems, the application and admission process, and the selection criteria. “There is an increasing demand from students who want to learn about prestigious universities,” said Anca Gilca, adding that the fair facilitates contact between universities and young people who want to continue their studies. During eight years of activity, over 250 academic institutions interacted with over 85,000 students, university graduates and young specialists looking for education programs within the RIUF.
