A number of 114 education institutions all over the country didn’t resume work on January 9 as planned. The Ministry of Education said the institutions remain closed owing to the snowy roads and low temperatures, IPN reports.

Thus, over 19,000 students in Rascani, Glodeni, Edinet, Cantemir and Cahul distorts continue the vacation. A number of 41 schools in Rascani and 24 schools in Glodeni will not work only today, while 34 education institutions in Edinet, 11 in Cantemir and four in Cahul will be closed during two days.

In Stefan Voda and Hancesti districts, only the first-fourth graders will be on vacation for one more day. In the other districts, there were reported technical problems related to the functioning of heating systems and electricity networks, which led to a reduction in the working program in schools.
