Our Language holiday program published

The cultural program dedicated to the “Our Language” National Holiday will begin on August 27 with a Romanian language contest opened to everyone. On August 31 when Our Language is celebrated, the festivities will start with a flower-laying ceremony at Stephen the Great statue.

Municipal culture chief Lucia Culev told the City Hall's meeting on Monday that the flower-laying ceremony will continue in the Stephen the Great Public Garden with a homage to Romanian language on the Alley of Romanian Classics. The central park will also be the location of a number of contests, especially for children, and other cultural events, including a pottery workshop featuring the artist Vasile Goncear.

The traditional concert in the Great National Assembly Square will begin with a performance of symphonic music conducted by Dumitru Circiumara. It will continue with folk and pop music performances by the Advahov Brothers, Zianaida Julea, Mihai Ciobanu, the Osoianu Sisters, Alex Calancea Band and many more.
