The border crossing points Otaci and Valcinet, set up on the Moldovan-Ukrainian sector, have been the most popular with travelers during the winter holidays. The third popular point is Leuseni, situated on the Moldovan-Romanian border. It is followed by the Chisinau Airport, IPN reports.

According to the Border Police, during 24 hours, between January 2 and the night of January 3, almost 41,000 people crossed the border in both directions.

The Border Police calls on the travelers to avoid the crowded border crossing points at night as long queues are thus formed.
