The OSCE Mission to Moldova will mark its 20th anniversary in April with a series of public events starting today with the opening of a photo exhibition at the Public Garden “Stefan cel Mare”, IPN reports, quoting a press release from the Mission.
During April 19-21, the Mission will take part in the film festival “Why Democray?” organized by NGO “Association Pro Democratia”. On Saturday, April 20, the OSCE Mission will organize a table tennis tournament with children from both banks of the Nistru River. The Head of OSCE Mission to Moldova, Ambassador Jennifer Brush, and Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova, Serhii Pirozhkov, will open the event.
On Tuesday, April 23, the OSCE Mission will inaugurate the art exhibition “Artist Building Trust” at the Mission’s premises in Chisinau. This exhibit will close the series of events.
The OSCE Mission to Moldova was founded in 1993 to help negotiate a sustainable political solution to the conflict between Moldova and the Transnistrian region. It is also empowered to give advice and consultancy on human rights, democratic changes, freedom, etc.
