The OSCE Ministerial Council will come together for a meeting in Tirana, Albania, on December 3-4. This is to adopt a statement on the Transnistrian settlement process in the 5+2 format. The issue was discussed by Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari in a meeting with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch, IPN reports.
The two officials considered the necessity of holding productive consultations for finalizing the Statement of the OSCE Ministerial Council on the 5+2 format talks.
The interlocutors also conferred on the priorities in the Transnistrian file during the Swiss Chairmanship of the OSCE in 2021. These include the creation of the preconditions needed for organizing a new round of talks in the 5+2 format, implementation of the so-called Berlin Plus package and identification of sustainable solutions to the most pressing problems that affect the inhabitants from both sides of the Nistru.
