Helpless children and elderly from a number of parishes of the Metropolitan Church of Bessarabia of the Republic of Moldova received gifts - money and food products - within the Easter campaign “We bring together Light in souls”, organized by the Association “Orthodox Philanthropy” of Huși, Romania,  IPN reports, with reference to InfoPrut.

In a noble mission to bring the joy of the Resurrection into the hearts of parishioners, a team of volunteers visited the parishes Malcoci, Făgureni, Strășeni, Ghidighici, and Răzeni of the Metropolitan Church of Bessarabia. In particular, visiting children of the Răzeni Community Center, the donors noted that the financial support and food packages prove the commitment of the brothers from across the Prut River to be close to the poor and lonely, to bring them comfort and compassion.

Founded with the blessing of His Grace Ignatius, Bishop of Huși, the Association “Orthodox Philanthropy” Huși is a living example of Christian solidarity and devotion to those in need. Since 2018, this non-profit association has been carrying out social and charitable activities, taking care of seven social establishments and carrying out numerous humanitarian activities in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
