The Civic Movement “Moldova’s Youth”, which will mount the tricolor’s march in Chisinau this Sunday, September 14, calls on the participants to refrain from any kind of confrontations. The movement’s head Dinu Plangau told a news conference at IPN that confrontations can occur because a march of the members and sympathizers of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) will be staged the same day.

The NGO’s head said the Party of Socialists intends to create tensions and cause false debates among the people before the start of the election campaign preceding the November 30 parliamentary elections so as to achieve a result that would allow it to enter Parliament. The event organized by the party is a demonstration against the European values and principles.

The young man also said that it’s inadmissible for the land where our parents and grandparents gained their freedom and independence to be invaded by representatives of a totalitarian, antidemocratic and antihuman regime. The Great National Assembly Square is the square of those who struggled for the national identity, the Romanian language, the tricolor and history.

According to Dinu Plangau, the tricolor’s march, which will mark the end of the campaign “Tricolor of national unity”, was to set off from the square of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, but the PSRM reserved the square for the whole September, censuring thus any civic initiative in the public area. Therefore, the march will start in the square of the Teacher Training University “Ion Creanga” at 2pm and will end in Europe Square.

Dinu Plangau added that the participants in the march will demonstrate peacefully for the symbol of the nation’s resistance and will show their love for the motherland with dignity, despite all the impediments. In the event, there will be carried a 300-meter long tricolor.
