Organ Hall marks 40 years of foundation

The Organ Hall in Chișinău celebrates the 40th anniversary of its inauguration. On this occasion, an anniversary concert will be held at the Organ Hall on September 19. The Organ Hall’s first organist Svetlana Bodiul, who settled in Malta, and violinist Ilian Gârneț, soloist of honor of the Organ Hall who settled in Germany, will be the special invitees of the evening.

Organ Hall director Larisa Zubcu has told IPN that the anniversary program is special. The event will mark the start of the 2018-2019 concert season. Almost all the tickets were sold. These cost 100 to 200 lei.

“In fact, each concert a big holiday for us. We work a lot to organize the concert appropriately. We look for new works and musical materials, in the archive too. We celebrate 40 years with a lot of dignity and pride for what we achieved,” stated Larisa Zubcu.

The concert will feature the National Chamber Orchestra led by conductor Cristian Florea, the National Chamber Choir led by Ilona Stepan, soloists Anna Strezeva (organ), Ion Negură (flute), Ștefan Negură (panpipe) and Ion Josan (violoncello). These will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky etc.

The concert starts at 6:30pm.
