Orange advisory for heatwave of up to +39°C

Weather forecasters issued a new warning, this time an orange advisory for a heatwave for southern Moldova. On Wednesday, July 26, daytime temperatures will rise to +39°C.

The warning for exceptional fire hazards was maintained. The State Weather Service said that when the level of moisture is low, there is wind and the temperatures are high, any source of fire that gets out of control can cause blazes.

To prevent the worsening of the state of health and to avoid sunstrokes and other negative effects of heat, specialists warn not to walk between 10am and 6pm, to drink more water and to wear clothes made from natural materials and of light colors. Grownups are warned to permanently supervise the children and not to leave them locked inside cars even for very short periods of time.
