The application of differentiated electricity tariffs is impossible at the moment. Operators estimate that they will be ready to do so in about 5 months, even though the deadline announced earlier by the authorities was January 20 this year, IPN reports.
The issue was discussed at a meeting of the working group for monitoring the implementation of the pilot program for the installation of smart meters, which was attended by representatives of the Energy Ministry, ANRE, FEE-Nord, RED-Nord, PED and PE supply, as well as experts in the field.
The meeting analyzed the existing tariffs, as well as potential pricing methodologies, given the current context of the energy crisis. Participants emphasized the significant benefits of these tariffs for both consumers and the grid as the number of consumers equipped with smart meters increases.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy, it is essential for operators to determine and publish the minimum technical conditions and parameters necessary to help consumers choose the right meters and to inform them about the functionalities and benefits of smart metering.
