Municipal councilor Corneliu Pântea, of the National Unity Party, called on the Chisinau Municipal Council and mayor general Ion Ceban to initiate public consultations on the minibus transportation service. He also called upon the operators that suspended five minibus routes to restore these at least until the debates on the issue are not over, IPN reports. 

The chairman of the Board of the Employers Association of Motor Transport Operators Oleg Alexa reacted to the councilor’s call, saying the carriers will take an active part in these public consultations. “We welcome Mister Pîntea Corneliu’s call to restore the municipal routes that were suspended on March 2, 2020, until we find an acceptable solution for passengers and carriers at public debates,” Oleg Alexa stated in a public message.

He said routes No. 108, 178, 135 and 175 could be restored at least partially as of March 9, but a decision concerning minibus route No. 129 cannot be taken yet.
