Police officers check the technical condition of buses and minibuses, as well as the necessary documents for transporting passengers as part of the "Bus" nationwide operation that will last until March 30, IPN reports.

The traffic police inspectors will also check the validity of the driving license for the corresponding category, the annual technical inspection, the mandatory insurance policy, as well as drivers’ compliance with the Road Traffic Regulations.

The General Police Inspectorate said that the 17 road accidents involving public transport that occurred so far this year resulted in one death and 27 persons injured.

The population is urged to respect the traffic rules and to report to the emergency number 112 the irregularities observed in traffic.
