Opening of Slovak Embassy in Chisinau depends on Moldova's cooperation with EU

“The more Moldova will approach the European Union, the surer Slovakia will open a diplomatic mission in Chisinau”, stated Slovak Foreign Minister Mikulaš Dzurinda at a press briefing in Chisinau today, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mikulaš Dzurinda said that although the Moldovan Government's agenda is busy the undertaken efforts have put Moldova on a steady track towards the EU. Slovakia is very active in offering international assistance for development and Moldova is among the first in the list of priorities, he added. Attending the briefing, Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat said the visit of the Slovak Foreign Minister represents an important political signal of endorsement and solidarity with Chisinau's efforts in advancing reforms to modernize the country. To strengthen the ties, it was decided to hold a meeting of the Moldo-Slovak inter-governmental commission for economic and commercial cooperation.
