Those who will want to start a business in agritourism will be able to access state subsidies, as it is provided in the new subsidization regulations for 2017.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Iurie Usurelu has told IPN that subsidies of 4 million lei will be provided for founding agritourist pensions during the first three years of the starting of the business, while the total sum during five years cannot exceed 9 million lei.

Iurie Usurelu specified that the development of agritourist pensions includes not only the construction of a building, but also of new production processing lines or lines to make handicrafts, etc. Money will be provided for developing pensions by building hothouses or demonstrative farms. Owing to the new subsidization regulations, the young farmers will be able to work out investment projects for a definite period of time and sustainable rural development will be ensured by concrete actions, not only statements.
