A concert involving national artists will be held in the square of the Puppet Theater “Licurici” in Chisinau on the occasion of World Music Day on June 21, starting at 2pm, IPN reports, with reference to the Culture Division of the City Hall.

Performances will be given by the Municipal Folk Music Orchestra of Vasile and Vitalie Advahov, the ethnic-folkloric ensemble “Plăieșii” led by Nicolae Gribincea, the band “Megapolis” and singers Roxana, Serge Kuzenkoff and Carolina Gorun.

Access to the concert is free of charge.

Celebrated in France since 1982, World Music Day became a European holiday in 1985 and was in time embraced by states from other continents.
